Hello and welcome to my communities of practice. My quantitative approach to decisions and risk analysis is unique in how I attitudinally accept that we now live in an "at risk" society, and that such conditions require the development and implementation of agile systems to defend enterprise against the "manufactured" hazards that are induced by modernization. Indeed, risk has transformed the modernization process itself by refocusing society, away from natural hazards, onto the artifical risks that industrial society has reflexively created for itself. In these modern times, risk aversion is as important as wealth creation, and financial engineering and risk analysis have become vital to the preservation of profits and wealth. These modern times are embedding a transformed image of risk onto our society in what is now a new age. The leadership challenge remains how to protect investors and enterprise from the complexities of the emerging risk landscape.
